Emily Langdon is an associate attorney at the firm. Emily specializes in the areas of health care law, business transactions, employee benefits and executive compensation, employment law, estate and business succession planning, tax law and non-profit law. She has significant experience in health care entity formation, HIPAA compliance, and review of physician recruitment and employment agreements.
Health care law
Emily represents physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers, and other healthcare providers. She concentrates her practice on health care entity formation, HIPAA compliance, and review of physician recruitment and employment agreements. Emily also advises the firm's health care clients on regulatory compliance issues, including the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute. She performs and assists with ambulatory surgery center feasibility studies and helps clients prepare for state surveys. Emily strives to help physician clients manage their practices and position themselves for success in an ever-changing field.
Business and corporate law
In addition to health care law, Emily focuses her practice in the areas of employee benefits, employment law, estate and business succession planning, corporate formation and non-profit entities. As part of her non-profit work, Emily has assisted numerous clients in obtaining Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt status.
Emily is a member of the Omaha Bar, Nebraska State Bar and American Bar Associations, and of the Notre Dame Club of Omaha.

An accomplished scholar, Emily graduated cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Emily received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Insurance, Arbitration, Bioethics and the Law, and Oil and Gas Law. She received the G. Robert Muchemore Foundation Scholarship as well as the Dean's Academic Scholarship and was a Creighton University School of Law Best Brief Nominee. Emily received her Bachelor's Degree in Business, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 2005.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys running, staying active, and spending time with her family. Emily runs in both local and regional races as a representative of Team Nebraska.
